Welcome to Disability Advice Network Enfield
The Disability Advice Network Enfield (DANE) is a partnership of four organisations commissioned by Enfield Council to support disabled residents in Enfield.
Adults with disabilities, vulnerabilities, care needs and their carers can access tailored advice, digital skills training, assistive technology guidance, and wellbeing support.
How the service works
The Disability Advice Network Enfield service will help eligible service users with maximising independence and wellbeing, staying digitally connected and navigate services through information, advice and guidance.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
To use this service you need to live in Enfield, be over 18 years old and meet one of the following criterion:
- Have a health condition, disability or learning difficulty
- Be a carer
- Be aged 17 and transitioning to adulthood

About the Service
Through DANE, residents with disabilities will have access to:
Free, impartial information and advice on disability rights, services, and independent living
Ensure people have access to a range of information and advice and are supported to connect with services that promote their independence, health and well-being (including through supported attendance at groups, activities or services). This includes benefits, housing, later life planning, managing personal budgets, etc.
Digital inclusion support, including 1:1 training and group training sessions to build confidence with technology.
Our Digital Information Champions (DICs) – Offer frontline digital advice and support at a community hub or outreach centre
Wellbeing information that helps them make informed decisions, manage risk and remain independent for longer
This includes wellbeing activities to combat isolation and inactivity e.g. wellness exercise classes, mobile tech sessions, art, cookery classes, day care centres, etc.
Assistive technology guidance, helping residents safely and confidently use devices that support daily life
Provide Assistive technology solutions that can support people and their carers in improving wellbeing and quality of life in a variety of ways. This could be by better connecting with their communities, accessing information and advice, managing or reducing risk, increased independence and enabling better self-management of conditions and illness. E.g. voice activated personal alarms, motion sensor lights, etc
Enfield resident 18+ with a disability, health condition or vulnerability as listed:
- Learning difficulties/disabilities
- Young people (18+) with SEND
- Neurodivergence/autism
- Physical disabilities/long term health conditions
- Brain injury/Neurological conditions
- Mental health conditions
- People at risk of developing care and support needs
- People at the end of life
Also, if they are:
- A Carer
- Over 50
- An underserved ethnic minority

Citizens Advice Enfield
Citizens Advice Enfield (CAE) supports Enfield residents with free, independent, confidential, and impartial advice. CAE brings specialist expertise in information, rights-based advocacy, and digital inclusion training, ensuring residents fully understand their rights and responsibilities.
AGEUK Enfield
AGEUK Enfield (AUKE) is the borough’s leading charity for older people. As assistive technology specialists, AUKE also delivers wellbeing group sessions and leads borough-wide improvements in dementia care through its chairing of the Enfield Dementia Network and membership in the Older People’s Partnership Board.
Edmonton Community Partnership
Edmonton Community Partnership (ECP) manages a network of 20 schools and will foster parent-school engagement around digital skills and disability awareness. By embedding digital inclusion support in education settings, ECP helps build long-term capability across families
Wellbeing Connect Services
Wellbeing Connect Services (WCS) delivers person-centred mental health and wellbeing support. Operating the only intergenerational family hub in North London, WCS connects local families to services and plays a key role in empowering older residents and strengthening minoritised communities.
